Hello, my name is James (Jim) Jennex and I am originally from East Jeddore, a beautiful fishing village on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia. The name first appeared in something like its present form in a document in 1727 where it is spelled "Jadore" but "Jadore" is the Englishman's mistaken pronunciation of the name "Theodore", the French name in use before 1700. Villebon, in his description of Acadia, 1699, describes "Theodore" and its location is modern Jeddore.
