Tally-Ho

Privacy policy

Effective 3 November 2026

This policy explains what information Tally-Ho collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Tally-Ho is made by Jeddore, an independent software studio in Corunna, Ontario, Canada. In this policy, “we” means Jeddore.

Information the app collects

  • Your Google account’s name, email address and profile picture, used to sign in.
  • The financial information you add: account names and balances, transactions, categories, budgets and the merchant rules you create.
  • If you connect a bank: the account and transaction details your bank provides through Plaid. Your bank username and password go to Plaid, never to us.
  • Which household you belong to, and the members you invite to it.

How the information is used

  • To sign you in and keep your data private to your household.
  • To show your spending, categorize transactions and compare months.
  • To sync new transactions from accounts you have connected.

Third-party services

  • Google Firebase (https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy): sign-in (Firebase Authentication), data storage in Canada (Cloud Firestore, Montréal region), bank sync (Cloud Functions) and hosting.
  • Plaid (https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy), only if you choose to connect a bank.

Sharing

  • Your financial data is visible only to the members of your household.
  • We do not sell your information, show ads, or share it with anyone other than the service providers above, which process it only to run the app.

Retention and deletion

  • Your data is kept for as long as you use Tally-Ho. You can disconnect a bank at any time, which stops syncing from that account.
  • When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your household’s data and remove the bank connections from Plaid within 30 days.

To ask for your information to be deleted, email support@jeddore.com with “Tally-Ho data deletion” in the subject line.

Children

  • Tally-Ho is meant for adults managing household finances. It is not directed at children under 13.

Security

  • All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by Google Cloud.
  • Database security rules limit each household’s data to its own members. Bank-sync credentials are held in Google Secret Manager and never reach your browser.

Your rights

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and withdraw your consent, subject to legal limits. Email support@jeddore.com to make a request.
